Pakistan America relations are getting more wrong. As Pakistan refused $300 million fund as aid. The new government is stiff regarding America pressures on it. Recently Mike Pompey and Imran Khan have talk and now the America has stopped $300 million aid of Pakistan. On this aid now Pakistan has reacted. Pakistan refused to accept $300 million us fund as aid.
US has stopped the amount of $ 300 million aid given to Pakistan under the Collision Support Fund. At the same time Pakistan says that this amount cannot be defined as American financial help.
PAKISTAN FOREIGN MINISTER
Pakistan foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the US had given the amount of $ 300 million under the Collision Support Fund. It cannot be defined as ‘financial aid’. He said, US Foreign Minister Mike Pompey will visit Pakistan on Sept 5. Pakistan will keep his side before the American diplomat.
Mahmood Qureshi said, We will try to revive our defunct bilateral relations according to the principles of mutual respect and understanding. But Qureshi refused to accept the $ 300 million US funded financial aid received under Collision Support Fund. The main thing is that he said, ‘This money was ours which we got because of joining the American fight against terrorism.’
Trump Administration has taken this decision after bad record of Pakistan against terrorists. US military told that the aid of about $ 300 million, or about Rs 2100 crore given to Pakistan has been canceled.
The Pentagon has requested US Parliament to reconsider Pakistan funding of $ 300 million as Collision Support Fund. Pakistan has failed to take concrete action under South Asia Strategy. According to the US military, the decision has been taken because Pakistan has failed to take action against terrorist groups.
The Department of Defense has now re-considered the $ 8 million donation given to Pakistan as a collision support fund. The fund is being re-considered because America’s defense minister Jim Matties. He refused to give the good certificate to Pakistan for taken stringent measures against Haqqani and L-e-Taiba.
