Curfew Imposed In Shillong From 10 PM On Saturday


The curfew was once imposed previous after clashes between Khasi Scholars’ Union (KSU) participants and non-tribals.

Curfew has been imposed in Shillong agglomeration and its adjacent spaces from 10 pm nowadays, the police officers stated.

“Even though no untoward incident has been reported and the location is commonplace, we’re conserving a detailed watch at the state of affairs,” learn a commentary from the police.

The police commentary additionally stated that the curfew is imposed in Sohra and Shella spaces from 7 pm nowadays to 7 am on Sunday.

“Alternatively, the order is not going to practice in Bara Bazar, Paltan Bazar, Stand Jeep from District Council Level resulting in Motphran spaces and upto YMCA, lew Mawlong and spaces falling thereunder, whole Police Bazar, together with Highway from Umsohsun Bridge upto Khyndai Lad for which separate orders are being issued,” the commentary stated.
