World Exclusive: India Today reveals LeT chief Hafiz Saeed’s Lahore hideout
India Today traced the hideout of Hafiz Saeed, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief and 26/11 attacks mastermind, in Lahore, where he is living under tight security from the Pakistani government. The real kingpin of the Pahalgam terror attack lives in a densely populated locality.
Saeed, who is wanted in 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai, is also believed to be a mastermind behind the Pahalgam massacre which claimed 26 lives on April 22. His terror out LeT’s offshoot, The Resistance Front (TRF), had claimed the attack which triggered the highest levels of diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan.
The place where Saeed lives is unlike anything that one would associate with a terrorist leader. He is living among common people in the middle of the densly populated city.
India Today has also accessed satellite images and videos that show how India’s most wanted terrorist hides in plain sight. His personal security also confirmed to India Today that they were deployed to protect Hafiz. The place is under 24×7 security.
The satellite image accessed by India Today shows three properties: his residence, a large building which is a mosque and madrasa, and a newly created private park with personal facilities for Hafiz.
The videos of the hideout show the wanted terrorist living a comfortable life under the security of the Pakistani government, contradicting their claims that he is behind bars.
The Indian agencies are aware of Hafiz Saeed’s hideout, sources told India Today.
