Watch: On scooter, Smriti Irani leads BJP rally for Bengal polls


Driving a scooter, Union minister Smriti Irani led a rally of the BJP on Friday as she campaigned for the approaching West Bengal elections within the South 24 Parganas district.

Participating within the BJP’s state-wide “Poriborton Yatra”, Irani along side BJP MP Roopa Ganguly and Agnimitra Paul started the marketing campaign in Gangajoara close to Garia at the party’s ‘rath’ — a bus decked up with slogans and pictures of the leaders.

After protecting a brief distance, the minister were given down from the ‘rath’ and took to a scooter, dressed in a black helmet and a masks.

“Once we started the ‘rath yatra’ these days, the management intentionally attempted to prolong it. We can experience two-wheelers, stroll on foot as a result of West Bengal is at the march against alternate,” Irani stated.
