‘Conflict-time’ bomb weighing 250 kg discovered at Bangladesh’s Dhaka airport


A bomb weighing round 250kg assumed to be from the 2nd Global Conflict or Liberation Conflict has been present in Bangladesh’s Dhaka airport.

A cylinder-shaped bomb weighing round 250kg used to be recovered whilst digging on the 3rd terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal World Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday. The 3rd terminal which is underneath building is out of doors the primary airport house.

As according to the Inter-Services and products Public Members of the family Directorate (ISPR) of Bangladesh, some constrcutions employees running on the 3rd terminal of the airport noticed the bomb about 3 metres deep within the floor and knowledgeable the government in regards to the topic.

Upon getting knowledge, individuals of the Air Drive’s Bomb Disposal Unit went to the spot and recognized it as a GP bomb. ISPR mentioned the bomb disposal unit of the ‘Bangabandhu base’ of the air power defused the bomb and despatched it to Rasulpur Firing Vary in Tangail for demolition.
