UP: Two held for ‘attacking’ journalist

3 individuals were named within the FIR, of whom,
two were arrested.
Two males have been arrested for allegedly attacking a journalist when he attempted to pacify two clashing teams underneath the Kalyanpur police station limits in Kanpur Nagar on Thursday evening. The journalist, Ashwini Nigam, works for R9 TV channel.
Nigam used to be attacked with a rod and suffered accidents on his head, stated the police. He used to be being handled at a health facility and used to be strong, they stated.
Kanpur Further SP (West) Anil Kumar stated, “A case has been lodged underneath IPC sections 147 (rioting), 323 (voluntarily inflicting harm), 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of the peace) and 506 (felony intimidation), and segment 7 of the Felony Legislation Modification Act. 3 individuals were named within the FIR, of whom, two were arrested. Strict motion will observe.”
The arrested accused were known as Akhilesh Soni and Biresh Soni and have been introduced earlier than the Justice of the Peace on Friday.
