UP Congress leader Ajay Kumar Lallu has written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind, complaining about his repeated arrests through the Uttar Pradesh Police, pronouncing they deprive him of his rights as folks’s consultant.

Lallu alleged that police, “with out bringing up any transparent orders”, stopped him and his party leaders from paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue in Lucknow at the instance of the Congress’ 136th basis day on December 28.
