Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri and 9 others have been elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh on Monday.
8 of them belonged to the BJP whilst one every from the Samajwadi Party and the BSP.
Ten applicants have been declared elected to the Rajya Sabha and have been additionally given their certificate, Assistant Returning Officer Mohd Mushahid mentioned.
But even so Mr Puri, the ones elected to the higher area of Parliament are BJP’s Neeraj Shekhar, Arun Singh, Geeta Shakya, Haridwar Dubey, Brijlal, B L Varma and Seema Dwivedi; Samajwadi Party’s Ram Gopal Yadav; and BSP’s Ramji Gautam, he added.
