Thane:

A tribal girl in Maharashtra’s Thane district, recipient of a countrywide bravery award for kids, on Wednesday returned the glory as a result of her circle of relatives may just no longer get ration at Public Distribution Gadget (PDS) stores.

Some 400 tribal households of Shahpur tehsil face this plight, claimed Hali Raghunath Baraf.

Ms Baraf, now in her 20s, won the “Veer Bapuji Gandhani Rashtriya Balveer Award” in 2013 for saving her sister from the clutches of a leopard.

She used to be 15 years previous when the incident came about.

However the award didn’t trade anything else for her circle of relatives, she mentioned in a press free up.

Until date her circle of relatives may just no longer get foodgrains at PDS stores as a result of their names and different main points have no longer been entered within the on-line device, she mentioned within the remark.

Some 400 households within the tehsil face the similar drawback, she mentioned, including that to protest this professional indiffenrence she returned her award to the Sub-Divisional Officer of Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi.
