“Travesty Of Fact”: P Chidambaram On Overseas Ministry’s Farm Rules Commentary

P Chidambaram known as Ministry of Exterior Affairs’s observation ”a travesty of the reality”.

New Delhi:

Senior Congress chief P Chidambaram on Thursday contested the observation of the Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) that the farm regulations have been handed in Parliament after a complete debate and known as the observation ‘a travesty of the reality’.

“MEA’s observation reads ‘The Parliament of India, after a complete debate and dialogue, handed reformist law in relation to the rural sector.’ That may be a travesty of the reality,” the Congress chief stated.

On Wednesday, the MEA issued a observation to counter the tweets via global celebrities together with singer Rihanna, teenage local weather activist Greta Thunberg and others who prolonged their beef up in team spirit with the agitating farmers.

“The file of the Rajya Sabha and the video file will display that there was once now not a complete dialogue, microphones of a few MPs have been muted, and a choice for department (that may be a vote) was once summarily rejected. If MEA distorts the reality on a question the place there’s a file, who will imagine MEA’s different statements?” requested Mr Chidambaram whilst tagging the Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

At a press convention on Wednesday, former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated that the popularity of India “has taken an enormous hit”. “Our largest power, you’ll be able to name it cushy energy, has been shattered via the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). This is their mindset,” he alleged.

Farmers had been protesting at the other borders of the nationwide capital since November 26 remaining 12 months in opposition to the 3 newly enacted farm regulations: Farmers’ Produce Business and Trade (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Coverage) Settlement on Value Assurance and farm Services and products Act 2020 and the Crucial Commodities (Modification) Act, 2020.
