South West Monsoon To Hit Coastal Maharashtra Again On Monday: Weather Office

The south west monsoon will transform lively once more within the coastal spaces of Maharashtra on August 10 (Monday) and can stay so for the following seven days, the India Meteorological Division (IMD) stated these days.

Heavy rains lashed Mumbai and neighbouring districts on Wednesday which resulted in water-logging and site visitors jams, wreaking havoc within the town. The depth of rain decreased step by step within the final two days.

“The IMD observations published that south west monsoon is more likely to transform lively on west coast from August 10-11, together with in Mumbai. The placement is more likely to proceed for per week,” stated KS Hosalikar, deputy director common, IMD Mumbai centre.

The Colaba observatory in south Mumbai had recorded 330 mm rainfall within the 24-hour duration finishing at five:30 am on Thursday whilst the Santacruz climate station in western suburbs recorded 146 mm throughout the duration.
