Amid lockdown, a number of vintage presentations from the 80s and the 90s have made comeback at the Tv. With the rising call for for presentations which might be making each nostalgic, Doordarshan is bringing two of the vintage sitcoms – Shafi Inamdar and Swaroop Sampat starrer Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and Ratna Pathak Shah and Supriya Pathak’s Idhar Udhar.

Idhar Udhar starred sisters Ratna Pathak Shah and Supriya Pathak. The display used to be directed by means of Anand Mahendroo and aired in 1985. The display used to be taken off air after the primary 12 episodes. Owing to the luck of Dekh Bhai Dekh, the display used to be revived with Ratna and Supriya along side Liliput and Bhavana Balsavar and had a time leap of 13 years.

Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi starred overdue Shafi Inamdar, Swaroop Sampat, Rakesh Bedi, Satish Shah, and Tiku Talsania. It used to be written by means of standard satirist Sharad Joshi and directed by means of Kundan Shah. It firstly aired in 1984. The theme track used to be crooned by means of overdue Kishore Kumar. The episodes revolved round humorous happenings within the lives of Ranjit Verma (Shafi Inamdar) and Renu Verma (Swaroop Sampat), who play a married couple along side Renu’s single and unemployed more youthful brother Raja (Rakesh Bedi) after which Chachi’s daughter who performs the nature of Rashmi.
