Saudi Arabia has banned its citizens from travelling to India and 15 other countries, citing a surge in Covid-19 cases there in recent weeks.

Apart from India, the countries where Saudi citizens have been prohibited from travelling include Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Indonesia, Vietnam, Armenia, Belarus, and Venezuela.
