The Delhi Police’s Financial Offences Wing (EOW) has arrested 5 prison officers in reference to the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

In line with the police, the arrested prison officers had been known as Sunil Kumar, Sunder Bora, Mahendra Prasad, Laxmi Dutt and Prakash Chand.

Chatting with ANI, Further Commissioner of Police (CP) EOW RK Singh mentioned that the arrested prison officers had been accused of serving to Sukesh Chandrasekhar and accredited bribes for him.

“Sunil Kumar and Sunder Bora are Prison Superintendents, whilst Mahendra Prasad and Prakash Chand are Deputy Prison Superintendents,” Singh mentioned.

The Financial Offences Wing introduced the prison officers prior to a Delhi Court docket which has despatched them to the police custody until November 12.
