Puri-Surat information Teach Derails In Odisha, No Casualty Reported

Passengers travelling within the Puri-Surat information Teach (02827) had a slim break out on Monday when the teach derailed after hitting an elephant between Hatibari and Maneswar railway stations.

Handiest six wheels had been derailed. No causality or damage has been reported.

As consistent with East Coast Railway, the teach departed from Hatibari at 7.24 am on Sunday at a pace of 50 kmph as elephant warning had already been imposed. On the other hand, an elephant entangled with the engine at round 2:04 am of Sambalpur Department of East Coast Railway.

Because of the coincidence, all wheels of the engine entrance trolley derailed at the spot.

Pradip Kumar, Divisional Railway Supervisor (DRM), Sambalpur with all senior officials and aid teach reached the spot.

Wooded area Division Officials reached the spot and began an inquiry with DRM, Sambalpur and different senior railway officials.

All 22 Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches are again at Hatibari Station and the teach will run very quickly after rerailment of the affected engine.
