Protests against Farm Bills: Haryana roads blocked, effigies burnt in Punjab

Protesting in opposition to the agri Expenses, farmers Sunday blocked roads and highways in Haryana and burnt effigies of Top Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab.

On a choice from 17 farm unions in Haryana, farmers blocked parts of roads and highways at a number of puts between 12 and three pm. Arhtiyas (fee brokers at mandis) too joined in.

Heavy police power was once deployed at the highways. There was once no blockade at the Ambala-Delhi street. In Ambala, Haryana Police used a water cannon on the border to forestall Punjab Early life Congress employees from coming into the district and travelling to Delhi as a part of a “tractor rally”.

Farmers at a number of puts in Punjab burnt effigies and copies of the Expenses, claiming the rules will damage their livelihood.
