Panel Submits Report On Clause 6 Of Assam Accord To Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal

A high-level committee (HLC) on implementation of Clause 6 of the Assam Accord officially submitted its report back to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Guwahati these days.
Clause 6 of the Assam Accord pledges to supply constitutional, legislative and administrative safeguards, as could also be suitable, to offer protection to, maintain and advertise the cultural, social, linguistic id and heritage of the Assamese other people.
Justice (retd) BK Sharma, the chairman of the MHA-constituted panel, passed over the report back to the manager minister, within the presence of the state cupboard.
Mr Sharma, throughout the hand-over of the sealed record, stated the committee has met other people throughout Assam ahead of making ready the document.
Mr Sonowal is scheduled to publish the document later within the day or on Wednesday to Union House Minister Amit Shah, state finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma advised newshounds.
