Kozhikode (Kerala):

The BJP on Saturday persisted to assault Kerala’s ruling LDF over the Sabarimala factor with Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman alleging Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran dedicated a sin through unleashing police on devotees of Lord Ayyappa all through the Sabarimala protests in 2018.

“The devotee who had long past to talk over with (darshan) the swami (god) was once hit. This guy (the Devaswom Minister), he can not atone this sin if he does penance (tapas) even for 500 years,” Ms Sitharaman informed a ballot assembly held in a North Kerala constituency at the penultimate day of campaigning for the state Meeting elections.

Her observation got here an afternoon after Top Minister Narendra Modi described the Devaswom Minister as “one of the most masterminds” to bathe lathis at the devotees.

Reacting to PM Modi’s allegation, Kadakampally Surendran stated the Top Minister made this sort of statement as he was once misled through the state BJP management.

PM Modi had chanted “Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa” 3 times at a ballot rally held in Konni in Pathanamthitta on Friday.

The BJP has fielded its firebrand chief Sobha Surendran towards Kadakampally Surendran, a senior CPI(M) chief, in Kazhakootam Meeting constituency in Thiruvananthapuram district.
