Middle East crisis LIVE: Iran fires explosives drones at Israel, blasts and sirens heard in Jerusalem
Iran on Sunday launched drones towards Israel. The attack comes nearly two weeks after an air strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria. Iran had blamed Israel for the attack and warned of retaliation.
Hours before the drone attack, Iran had seized a cargo ship linked to Israel near the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, the US vowed support to the Israel. The US said it stands by Israel and will “support their defense”.
