Maya Rudolph Slays Mother’s Day SNL Episode With Hilarious Rap & Channels Beyoncé! – Perez Hilton
Maya Rudolph is the ultimate mother.
The Bridesmaids star returned to host Saturday Night Live for her third time over the weekend and kicked off Mother’s Day festivities with a hilarious opening number! She began her monologue:
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, it is so good to be back and for the Mother’s Day episode. And for me it’s extra special because I am a four-time mom. That’s right, I have four beautiful kids — that I know of.”

Bowen Yang and Sarah Sherman then joined her on stage to remind her that she’s “not just a mom, you’re mother.” Maya laughed before responding, “You’re right.” The Studio 8H stage then transformed into an iconic NYC ballroom, with Maya, AKA the mother of the house of Rockefeller, giving an unforgettable performance. Later on in the show, the Wine Country star followed up her memorable 2021 turn as Beyoncé for a Hot Ones parody with a NEW installment, where she returned to try and redeem herself. She said:
“This was the only thing I have attempted that I did not slay.”
However, like in the 2021 installment, things did NOT go over well and the hot chicken wings once again got the best of her. She hilariously called on her assistant, played by Kenan Thompson, to squirt her “cocoa butter aloe lotion” directly in her mouth to douse the heat. Watch (below):
