Madhya Pradesh Police on Sunday charged a person in Indore for allegedly divorcing his spouse via “triple talaq“, when she protested towards his 2nd marriage.
“The girl in her grievance stated that her husband gave her triple talaq when she attempted to prevent his 2nd marriage,” police officer Ajay Verma stated.
“The complainant reported that her husband Mohammad Farhan were given married for a 2nd time on January 10. When she attempted to prevent it, he gave her triple talaq. Now we have registered court cases below related periods of regulation,” he stated.
The couple has been married for greater than 4 years and has a kid in combination, the police stated.
A case has been registered below the Muslim Ladies (Coverage of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019.
