A 26-year-old guy has been arrested for allegedly stealing an vintage silver pistol from BJP Rajya Sabha MP Udayan Raje Bhosale’s place of abode in Satara in Maharashtra, police mentioned on Tuesday.

The accused, Deepak Sutar, is a labourer who had just lately labored at Mr Bhosale’s place of abode “Jalmandir Palace”.

“Sutar stole the non-firing silver pistol, price Rs 1.four lakh, from Jalmandir Palace on Monday. He used to be stuck whilst on his solution to promote the antique gun to a jeweller in Satara,” mentioned Vishal Waikar, assistant police inspector, Shahupuri police station. Mr Bhosale is an immediate descendant of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
