Mamata Banerjee postpones north Bengal trip to Sept 29 after heavy rain forecast

Leader Minister Mamata Banerjee has postponed her North Bengal excursion because of unhealthy climate. She postponed her evaluation conferences in north Bengal via 8 days after the meteorological (Met) division forecast heavy rain in different portions of the state, together with in north Bengal, over the following few days.

A central authority notification mentioned Banerjee, who was once scheduled to depart for Siliguri on September 21, will now adopt her adventure 8 days afterward September 29.

“In view of the meteorological forecast of inclement climate in West Bengal in the following few days, the Hon’ble Leader Minister’s resulting North Bengal district evaluation conferences are being postponed to 29th and 30th September,” the notification mentioned.

The CM will chair administrative evaluation conferences of 5 north Bengal districts. The conferences will probably be held at Uttarkanya, the department secretariat in Siliguri. This may be her first seek advice from to the north Bengal districts since Covid-19 pandemic struck in March.
