‘Making History!’ US Navy Welcomes Madeline Swegle, Its First Black Female Tactical Aircraft Pilot

The Naval Air Coaching Command tweeted that Swegle is the Military’s “first identified Black feminine TACAIR pilot”. In step with Stars and Stripes, Swegle is from Burke, Virginia, and graduated from the USA Naval Academy in 2017.

America Military has welcomed its first Black feminine Tactical Airplane pilot.
“MAKING HISTORY!” the USA Military tweeted on Thursday based on a put up that Lt. j.g. Madeline Swegle had finished naval flight college and would later this month obtain the flight officer insignia referred to as the “Wings of Gold”.
The Naval Air Coaching Command tweeted that Swegle is the Military’s “first identified Black feminine TACAIR pilot”. In step with Stars and Stripes, Swegle is from Burke, Virginia, and graduated from the USA Naval Academy in 2017.
Officers mentioned she is assigned to the Redhawks of Coaching Squadron 21 in Kingsville, Texas. Swegle’s milestone comes greater than 45 years after Rosemary Mariner in 1974 become the primary girl to fly a tactical fighter jet, in keeping with information shops.
