La-Lafayette coach, ex-Miss. St. player Looney dead at 31
LAFAYETTE, Los angeles. Louisiana-Lafayette assistant soccer trainer and previous Mississippi State participant D.J. Looney died from a center assault following a staff exercise Saturday morning at Cajun Box, college officers mentioned.
Looney, who used to be 31, used to be coming into his 3rd season at the Ragin Cajuns workforce and coached the offensive line, a place he performed for Mississippi State from 2007 to 2010. He additionally started his training profession with the Bulldogs as a graduate assistant beneath Dan Mullen in 2011.
Looney, who grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, used to be offensive line trainer and recruiting coordinator at East Mississippi Group School in 2012 and ’13, and spent the following two seasons as an assistant at Central Arkansas.
He served as a graduate assistant at Georgia beneath head trainer Kirby Good in 2016 after which coached tight ends at Mississippi State in 2017 prior to becoming a member of the Ragin’ Cajuns the next season.
