Israeli High Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited Saudi Arabia on Sunday and met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and visiting US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo there, Israel’s Kan public radio and Military Radio mentioned on Monday.

Netanyahu’s place of work and the United States Embassy in Jerusalem had no rapid remark, consistent with information company Reuters.

An aviation monitoring information printed in an Israeli newspaper confirmed {that a} trade jet had made a temporary shuttle from Tel Aviv to Neom, on Saudi Arabia’s Purple Coastline, the place Bin Salman and Pompeo had a scheduled assembly on Sunday.

Pompeo has attempted to coax the Gulf powerhouse to practice its neighbours, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain, in organising formal members of the family with Israel – a rapprochement constructed in large part on shared issues about Iran.

Riyadh has thus far declined to normalise ties with Israel, pronouncing Palestinian statehood objectives will have to be addressed first. However the Saudis have allowed Israeli airliners to overfly their territory to newly to be had Gulf locations and to Asia.
