Vote casting started Tuesday morning for the second one section of District Building Council (DDC) elections in Jammu and Kashmir amid cold stipulations and tight safety preparations, officers stated in Srianagr.

Out of the 280 constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, 43 are going to polls within the union territory in the second one section – 25 in Kashmir and 18 in Jammu department.

Election could also be being held in 83 sarpanch constituencies for which a complete of 223 applicants are contesting within the section two.

Government have declared all 1,300 polling stations within the valley as delicate.

“Virtually all cubicles in Kashmir are delicate from the safety perspective. Further safety has been supplied within the polling stations within the valley,” state election commissioner Okay Okay Sharma instructed newshounds on Monday.
