Gujarat Native Frame Polls: BJP Fields 31 Muslim Applicants In Bharuch District
Bharuch will see elections to the district panchayat, nine taluka (tehsil) panchayats and four municipalities
Bharuch:
The BJP has given tickets to as many as 31 Muslim applicants in Bharuch district for February 28 elections to native our bodies in Gujarat.
Consistent with Marutisinh Atodariya, district BJP leader, that is for the primary time that the party has fielded such a lot of applicants from the Muslim group within the district.
However he denied that this has the rest to do with a rival alliance between the Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) and Asaduddin Owaisi’s All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (AIMIM).
Bharuch district, with a large choice of Muslim electorate, will see elections to the district panchayat, 9 taluka (tehsil) panchayats and 4 municipalities.
“Of general 320 applicants declared by means of the BJP parliamentary board on Wednesday for the district, 31 are Muslim, the best possible ever in Bharuch to this point,” Mr Atodariya mentioned.
Some applicants is also changed if their nominations get rejected by means of the election government, he added.
Bharuch district panchayat, which has 34 seats, was once dominated by means of the Congress and Jhaghadia MLA Chhotu Vasava’s BTP which was once shaped following a cut up within the JD(U).
Lately, Chhotu Vasava introduced ballot alliance with AIMIM and likewise held a joint rally with Mr Owaisi closing week.
However Mr Atodariya denied that this alliance caused the BJP to select extra Muslim applicants. “Now we have no longer decided on applicants simply because they belong to a minority group. They have been decided on on benefit. As an example, we now have decided on a Muslim BJP employee for Valia seat in district panchayat the place Hindus are in majority,” he mentioned.
The BJP’s acceptability amongst Muslims has higher and lots of of them have joined the party, he claimed.
