Gujarat: As rain lashes upper catchment areas, water released from Ukai dam

With heavy rainfall lashing the higher catchment spaces of the Ukai dam, the government on Monday discharged 1.59 lakh cusecs of water to handle the water stage within the dam.

Heavy influx of water into Ukai used to be witnessed within the closing two days from the higher catchment spaces mendacity in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra which won heavy rainfall.
