Former J&K Lt Governor GC Murmu Sworn In As Comptroller And Auditor General

Former Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Girish Chandra Murmu was once sworn in on Saturday because the Comptroller and Auditor Basic, the Rashtrapati Bhavan stated.
Mr Murmu made and subscribed to the oath of administrative center sooner than President Ram Nath Kovind, it stated in a remark.
At a rite held within the Ashoka Corridor, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Mr Murmu was once sworn in because the Comptroller and Auditor-Basic of India, it stated.
Mr Murmu, a 1985-batch IAS officer (retired) of Gujarat cadre, may have a tenure as much as November 20, 2024, the Rashtrapati Bhavan stated.
As a constitutional functionary, the CAG is basically entrusted with the duty of auditing the accounts of the central and state governments.
