Kolkata:
5 domestic dogs had been discovered useless in north Kolkata’s Shobhabazar space on Wednesday and it’s suspected that they had been fed with meals laced with poison, police mentioned.
Police initiated a probe into the topic after native folks and canine fanatics filed a criticism.
The locals noticed the domestic dogs mendacity useless on a footpath within the morning.
“They mentioned the domestic dogs had been fed continuously through a number of folks of. However they weren’t positive who may kill them. We’ve got introduced an investigation,” a police officer added.
Incidents of cruelty to animals had been reported previous this month too.
Unknown folks in Howrah district had attempted to poison a number of boulevard canine at the Diwali evening. On the other hand, none of them died.
In any other incident in Paschim Medinipur district, a canine misplaced part of its limbs and suffered serious burn accidents after unidentified folks burst firecrackers after tying them to its leg.
