Expenditure Secretary TV Somanathan has been designated because the Finance Secretary, a Group of workers Ministry order issued on Wednesday mentioned.
He’s a 1987-batch Indian Administrative Carrier (IAS) officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre.
The Appointments Committee of the Cupboard has authorized designating Mr Somanathan, Secretary, Division of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance because the Finance Secretary, the order mentioned.
The senior-most officer amongst all of the secretaries within the finance ministry is designated because the Finance Secretary.
Mr Somanathan’s batchmate Debasish Panda is Secretary, Division of Monetary Services and products.
Tuhin Kanta Pandey and Ajay Seth are secretaries, Division of Funding and Public Asset Control (DIPAM) and Division of Financial Affairs, respectively.
Tarun Bajaj, a 1988-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre, is the Earnings Secretary.
