Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor’s ancestral houses in Pakistan to be transformed into museums : Bollywood Information – Bollywood information
On June 1, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial executive of Pakistan licensed the acquisition of the ancestral house of Bollywood legends Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar for changing them into museums. The present proprietor of the homes had raised objections to the sale, which was once later rejected by means of Peshawar district commissioner Captain(retd). Khalid Mehmud.
The cost of the homes were decided following a file of the Communique and Works Division. Dilip Kumar’s ancestral haveli was once priced at Rs. 80,56,000 and Raj Kapoor’s space was once valued at Rs. 1,50,00,000.
Previous, the landlord of Dilip Kumar’s space demanded Rs 25 crore, whilst the landlord of Raj Kapoor’s space was once not easy Rs 200 crore. Haji Lal Muhammad, the landlord of Dilip Kumar’s ancestral assets, had bought the valuables in 2005 for Rs. 51 lakh after finishing all felony formalities. He had mentioned that it’s unjust of the federal government to worth the prophet at Rs. 80.56 lakhs after 16 years.
Raj Kapoor’s ancestral house referred to as Kapoor Haveli is positioned within the fabled Qissa Khwani Bazar and was once constructed between 1918 and 1922. Raj Kapoor was once born within the construction. In the meantime, veteran actor Dilip Kumar’s over the 100-year-old ancestral space may be situated in the similar locality. The home was once declared as a countrywide heritage in 2014.
