As a stand-off between the Governor and the state govt continues in Kerala, senior Congress chief Ramesh Chennithala on Friday requested whether or not the CPI(M)-led govt had intervened to have the College of Kerala reject Governor Arif Mohammed Khan’s advice to confer honorary D.Litt on President Ram Nath Kovind.
Khan had on Thursday reiterated his determination to not discharge any accountability because the chancellor of universities in Kerala, a call he had conveyed to Leader Minister Pinarayi Vijayan previous this month. “There are a number of severe problems, which I didn’t wish to expose.
