With the result of the Jammu and Kashmir District Construction Councils polls out, the Congress is confronted with a predicament — whether or not or now not to enroll in palms with the Other people’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration for a post-election tie as much as stay the BJP out of energy.
J&Okay Congress leader spokesperson Ravinder Sharma Wednesday stated the BJP has a transparent majority in 5 DDCs in Jammu department — Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Doda — whilst in Reasi, the saffron party has gained seven of 14 seats.
“To make sure that (the BJP) does now not have its chairperson in others, we will beef up PAGD… We already had seat sharing with it (PAGD) throughout the just-concluded DDC elections… Whilst there have been seat sharing at 75 in step with cent puts, we had a pleasant contest on the ultimate 25 in step with cent puts,” Sharma stated.
He, on the other hand, made it transparent that “despite the fact that we had a seat sharing settlement with PAGD, we weren’t a part of Gupkar schedule”.
In the meantime, AICC spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi, addressing a press convention in Delhi, stated, “We’ve now not taken any choice in this thus far, so it’s going to be irrelevant for me to remark. However for those who see Gupkar on one facet and BJP at the different facet, we can not at any price beef up the BJP… However whom to beef up, that call is but to be taken.” —With ENS, Delhi
