Covid-19: Saudi Arabia to permit 60,000 other people for Hajj pilgrimage

Saudi Arabia has mentioned that this 12 months’s hajj pilgrimage might be restricted to not more than 60,000 other people, they all from throughout the kingdom, because of the continued coronavirus pandemic.

The dominion made the announcement on Saturday on its state-run Saudi Press Company.

It cited the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for making the verdict.

In remaining 12 months’s hajj, as few as 1,000 other people already dwelling in Saudi Arabia had been decided on to participate within the hajj.

Two-thirds had been international citizens from a number of the 160 other nationalities that will have typically been represented on the hajj. One-third had been Saudi safety staff and clinical team of workers.

The hajj starts mid-July.
