Congress Likely To Finalise Some Candidates For Bihar Polls On Monday

The Congress is more likely to finalise a few of its applicants for the Bihar meeting ballot on Monday when the birthday party’s central election committee might meet just about.

The Congress Screening Committee on Bihar met right here on Sunday and is learnt to have mentioned the names of possible applicants for the approaching elections within the state.

The assembly of the screening panel, headed by means of Avinash Pande, was once attended by means of Congress in-charge for Bihar affairs Shakti Sinh Gohil, Bihar Congress leader Madan Mohan Jha and CLP chief Sadanand Singh amongst others.

On Saturday, the opposition Grand Alliance in Bihar introduced a seat-sharing system for the approaching meeting polls below which the Congress will contest 70 of a complete 243 seats.

The Bihar meeting polls can be held in 3 stages on October 28, November three and November 7, and the counting of votes will happen on November 10.

The nomination procedure for the primary segment, below which 71 of the entire 243 seats will move to polls, started from October 1 and can finish on October eight.
