Case Filed Against Swami Chidananda Over Forest Land In Uttarakhand: Report

The Uttarakhand wooded area division has filed a case in opposition to Swami Chidananda Saraswati for allegedly grabbing a work of reserve wooded area land in Virpur Khurd space in Rishikesh and working a yoga and meditation centre, and a residential faculty on it.

The case used to be lodged in opposition to the religious guru below segment 26 of the Indian Woodland Act, 1927 in compliance with a contemporary order of the Uttarakhand Prime Court docket, Woodland Vary Officer Mahendra Singh Rawat informed information company PTI.

“Swami Chidananda had grabbed round one hectare of reserved wooded area land in Virpur Khurd space of town and used to be working Muni Chidananda yoga centre, meditation centre and a residential faculty on it,” Mr Rawat stated.

On the other hand, the wooded area division took again the land from the religious guru on February 10 this 12 months, he added.
