Case In opposition to 10 Suspended UP Law enforcement officials Over Video On Unlawful Profits

A case beneath the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered in opposition to 10 policemen, together with two sub-inspectors, in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh after a video purportedly appearing them sharing unlawful profits went viral on social media, a senior police respectable stated on Wednesday.
The entire 10 police staff had been suspended.
“On October 12, the video of police staff of the crime department sharing their unlawful profits went viral on social media. The video used to be tested and the period in-between probe document finds that the video used to be of April-Might. Prima facie it kind of feels that the topic relates to corruption. The act of the policemen has tarnished the picture of the power,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rohit Singh Sajwan stated.
He added that all of the policemen had been suspended and a case has been lodged in opposition to them beneath the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The 10 suspended policemen are — sub-inspectors Girish Chandra Joshi and Abbas Haidar, head constable Tayyab Ali, constables Ravindra Pratap Singh, Pushpendra Kumar, Vikas Kumar, Virendra Kumar, Ravishankar, Pushpendra Kumar and motive force Jitendra Rana.
