The Border Safety Power (BSF) on Saturday stated it has passed over an eight-year-old boy to Pakistani rangers, after he inadvertently crossed the world border (IB) and reached India’s Barmer sector from the neighbouring nation.

The incident happened on the border safety fence close to border out publish of Somrar in Barmer sector of Rajasthan on Friday, officers stated.

“As a goodwill gesture, the BSF on Friday passed over a Pakistani minor boy in a flag assembly with Pakistan Rangers,” the BSF stated in a commentary.

“On April 2, Karim s/o Yamanu, age roughly 8 years, had inadvertently crossed the IB, entered Indian territory and reached upto BS (border safety) Fence close to BOP (border out publish) Somrar of Barmer sector (in Rajasthan),” it added.
