The North East Scholars’ Organisation (NESO) — which contains the Khasi Scholars’ Union (KSU), All Assam Scholars’ Union (AASU), Naga Scholars’ Federation (NSF), Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), Twipra Scholars’ Federation (TSF), All Manipur Scholars’ Union (AMSU), Garo Scholars’ Union (GSU) and All Arunachal Pradesh Scholars’ Union (AAPSU), representing 8 states of the north-east area — had spearheaded the anti-CAA protests final 12 months.
