The BJP on Wednesday retained its hang over the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Company close to Mumbai via profitable the posts of mayor and deputy mayor.
BJP candidate for mayor’s publish Jyotsana Hasnale defeated her most effective rival, Shiv Sena’s Anant Shirke, via polling 55 votes towards the latter’s 36.
Hasmukh Gehlot of the BJP turned into the deputy mayor via defeating Shiv Sena’s Marlin D’Sa.
Mr Gehlot bagged 56 votes, whilst D’Sa polled 35.
