4 groups of the Nationwide Crisis Reaction Pressure (NDRF) are being airlifted from Pune to Nagpur as a preemptive measure in view of the evolving rainfall scenario within the Vidarbha area of Maharashtra.

“In view of evolving scenario in districts of Vidarbha department, 4 groups of NDRF are being airlifted from Pune to Nagpur. Those groups can be deployed in Nagpur and Chandrapur district tentatively. Those 4 groups are along with the only staff already deployed for flood water rescue operation in Nagpur District,” mentioned Sachchidanand Gawade, 2d-in-Command of the fifth Battalion of the NDRF.

Those NDRF groups are being airlifted through and Indian Air Pressure (IAF) shipping airplane from Pune IAF base round midday Sunday.
