Adele’s Next Move In Music Is Going To Shock & Disappoint You! – Perez Hilton

Adele is a few months from the end of her Las Vegas residency, and when it wraps in early November, she’s ready to… fade into the sunset??

OK, not quite. She’s not going to fade away forever or anything. But she is going to take a break from music! That’s right — the plan is that there is no plan! So if you were hoping the Skyfall singer would get back in the studio and work on some new tunes after wrapping things up in Sin City, we’ve got bad news for ya!

On Sunday, German outlet ZDF published an interview with the 36-year-old in which they asked about her next move after her residency. And she shut them down in no uncertain terms! The London native said:

“I don’t have any plans for new music, at all. I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”

Whoa! She doesn’t have any plans for new music?! And she wants a “big” break?? Say it ain’t so! Although we do wonder what those “other creative things” are… Interestingly, she added this kicker:

“I don’t like being famous. I love that I get to make music all the time.”

Sounds like she’s up for a much-needed break! To be fair, Adele has taken time between albums throughout her career. Think back: 19 came in 2008, while 21 came out three years later, then 25 four years after that in 2015, and 30 dropped six years after that in 2021. So yeah, she’s no stranger to letting things chill a bit! And as you may recall, she said this to the Hollywood Reporter in December about new music:

“I have to wait for a feeling. If I get antsy, that’s when I know I have to go to the studio, and I am the opposite of antsy right now.”

So, yeah, she’s definitely pumping the brakes on new music for a while. Maybe a long while. But she’ll have to get antsy eventually, right? Reactions?? Share ’em (below)!
