L&T flags off heavy reactors for HPCL
Larsen & Toubro Heavy Engineering on Thursday flagged off two LC-Max Reactors, pitched to be global’s heaviest, forward of time table within the presence of MK Surana, Chairman & Managing Director, Hindustan Petroleum Company Ltd (HPCL).
The reactors, weighing 2,313 Metric Heaps (MT) each and every, will allow India’s first Residue Upgradation Facility (RUF) via Hindustan Petroleum Company’s Visakh Refinery to transform the heaviest oils to high quality BS-VI diesel, in addition to building up feedstock and reinforce product flexibility, in step with a press free up from L&T.
