Kerala Police on Thursday registered a case towards former Mizoram governor and senior BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan, amongst others, in accordance with grievance of dishonest allegedly involving his former own assistant. Refuting the fees, Rajasekharan mentioned the case was once politically-motivated.
The case was once filed after C R Harikrishnan, a local of Aranmula in Pathanamthitta district, alleged that Rajasekharan’s ex-personal aide, Praveen, and someone else named Vijayan had pocketed Rs 35 lakh at the pretext of creating him a spouse in a industry project — a manufacturing facility in Palakkad.
The complainant mentioned he had passed over the cash to Praveen when Rajasekharan was once the governor.
Because the promised project materialized, Harikrishnan demanded his funding again. However Praveen and his spouse, Vijayan, of Kollamkode in Palakkad, refused handy over the volume.
Harikrishnan approached a couple of BJP leaders and sought their intervention within the subject. Therefore, BJP NRI mobile chairman Harikumar intervened and after a number of rounds of mediation, the duo returned Rs 6.25 lakh to the complainant.
Harikrishnan, in his petition, mentioned he needed to method the police officers as Praveen and Vijayan refused to go back the remainder Rs 28.75 lakh within the remaining two years.
Harikrishnan mentioned he had met Praveen within the presence of Rajasekharan, who inspired him to spend money on the proposed industry project.
The FIR was once registered below Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Act, arraigning Praveen as the primary accused and Rajasekharan because the 5th.
Others within the record are Praveen’s industry spouse VIjayan, his spouse Krishaveni and Harikumar.
