Gown clothier Bhanu Athaiya, 91, kicked the bucket at her house on Thursday after a chronic sickness. She is the primary Indian to win the Academy Award. 

Athaiya’s final rites came about on the Chandanwadi crematorium in South Mumbai. Her daughter, Radhika Gupta, showed that she kicked the bucket early on Thursday morning.
