While the batting side of things has looked good from both teams, it is the bowling that has looked quite ordinary. With the series tied 1-1, I, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Washington Sundar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, was one of the few players who came out for an optional two-hour net session. My attention, however, was less on batting or bowling and more on the outfield to see how much dew would affect the game. I saw the ground staff at the ACA-VDCA Stadium using anti-fog and, more importantly, anti-dew spray for the second night in a row. It’s clear that the dew is a massive concern for the team bowling second, and I know they plan to apply that crucial anti-dew spray just hours before we take the field on Saturday.
