‘Stay vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel’: India issues travel advisory amid Israel-Iran conflict
The Indian embassies in Iran and Israel have issued advisories for its citizens in the country, asking them to avoid “unnecessary travel” as tensions in the region escalated Friday morning following strikes on Tehran.
High Commissions in both countries have advised to stay vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel. It also urged citizens to stay close to designated safety shelters and avoid unnecessary travel within Israel until further notice.
“In view of the prevailing situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to stay vigilant and adhere to the safety protocols as advised by the Israeli authorities and home front command (https://www.oref.org.il/eng),” the mission posted on its social media X handle, soon after Israel declared the launch of Operation Rising Lion against Iran.

The advisory was issued shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the launch of Operation Rising Lion, targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Netanyahu claimed that strikes had been carried out against key sites, including the main enrichment facility at Natanz, as part of efforts to derail Tehran’s nuclear programme.
Israel launched a military strike on Iran’s capital, Tehran, early Friday — claiming that it targeted Iran’s nuclear and military sites, news agency AP reported.
