Punjab Leader Minister-Elect Bhagwant Mann Resigns As MP Day Earlier than Oath


Bhagwant Mann was once a two-time MP from Punjab’s Sangrur.

Punjab Leader Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann on Monday resigned from the Lok Sabha, an afternoon prior to his swearing-in rite.

An MP from the Sangrur constituency in Punjab since 2014, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief passed his resignation to Speaker Om Birla.

“The folk of Sangrur have showered me with such a lot love for a few years, many thank you for this. Now I’ve were given a chance to serve the entire of Punjab. I promise to the folk of Sangrur that during a couple of months, their voice shall be heard once more within the Lok Sabha,” he had mentioned in Koo.

The AAP scored a landslide victory within the Punjab Meeting elections with 92 seats out of 117 seats that noticed many giants like former Leader Minister Amarinder Singh, incumbent Leader Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Congress state leader Navjot Singh Sidhu lose.

Mr Mann, 48, who was once the party’s Leader Ministerial candidate, will take the oath on Wednesday on the freedom fighter Bhagat Singh’s village, Khatkar Kalan.

Mr Mann has invited Delhi Leader Minister and AAP nationwide convenor Arvind Kejriwal to the oath-taking rite.

Mr Mann, who was once contesting from Dhuri meeting constituency in Sangrur district, gained via a margin of over 58,000 votes over Congress’s Dalvir Singh Goldy.
